In response to your section on how to fake email, and after a little fidling round, I came up with this semi-foolproof idea.

For my example I'm using Outlook Express 4.5 for mac. but this should work for other programs.

To send false email, simply choose preferences or options (whatever), and go to the bit about setting up an email account. Change you email real-name and reply-to-address to that of someone you want to forge email from. Create a new message, and send.

This is an example email to me from me.

(My email is "Ashleyrealyrule@optusnet.com.au, the guy I'm trying to send to is "Ashleyrealyrule@optusnet.com.au, the guy I'm trying to send from is BOBS@hotmail.com)

This trick is very convincing for the computer Newbi, but the more
experienced people could track your real ISP. Also, if there Email server is hotmail, or any other web-based email, they can't view the header. In which case, your untraceble!

I've pulled this stunt a few times around my high school. In one case, I even caused a boyfriend/girlfriend couple to break up (she got an email from him saying he dumped her, (which really came from me, he he))

This evil little creep is a perfect example of why you should never jump to conclusions if you get an email from someone which hurts your feelings, asks you to send money, or tries to get you to be angry at someone. Email can easily be forged. Sadly, there are too many people in the world like Ashley Harris who take advantage of their hacking knowledge for creepy, vicious purposes.
